Film, theatre and television: Websites
A guide to finding information in film, theatre and television. Includes links to key resources and sources of help.
TRILT is an online service delivering extensive information on UK television and radio programmes, specifically enhanced for Higher and Further Education. It is fully searchable. It is particularly useful for finding out about past television listings.
Data is available at least 10 days before transmission, building an archive of programme information and schedules.
Selected programmes of value to higher and further education are evaluated and information is added, including bibliographies, weblinks and indications of sources of post-transmission copies, including the British Universities Film and Video Council's (BUFVC) own off-air recording backup service.
The BUFVC is a representative body which promotes the production, study and use of film and related media in higher education and research. Use the links at the top of the screen to access a range of useful databases, including TRILT and The Researcher's Guide to Screen Heritage.
