The following guide offers tips and additional Library support for Greenland's students and distance learners.
Specialist library support for Greenlands students is primarily available for you from the staff in the Academic Resource Centre (ARC) at Greenlands campus. Search the ARC catalogue for details of items held in the ARC at Greenlands. The ARC Online is available through Blackboard and gives you access to the ARC catalogue and ARC Onesearch, a discovery resource for journal articles, e-books, trade publications and company reports.

Student campus cards
UK-based students may wish to make use of the University Library at the Whiteknights campus. Any student may use the Library for reference or study purposes but in order to borrow items you will need to obtain a Student Campus Card. You need to visit the Library in person to collect items as we do not offer a postal loans service. At present there is no service to transport printed items between the Whiteknights and Greenlands sites. Any material you borrow will have to be picked up and returned to the originating site.
You may visit the Student Services Centre (Carrington Building) during office hours (09:00 – 16:45, week days only) to obtain your card.
Finding printed books and e-books

The SCONUL Access Scheme is particularly useful. You will need to have collected your student campus card and enrolled for the SCONUL Access scheme before visiting the other library.
If you are a Distance Learner, and wish to register for the SCONUL reciprocal access scheme, it may be possible to arrange for a card to be produced and sent to you.To do this you will need to email email@example.com with the following details:
In order to print the card we shall require a passport-style digital image of you. The image should be "head and shoulders" only and you should have the image taken in front of a plain, light-coloured background. The file should be saved in .jpeg format.
