Public funders of research and the University require researchers to manage their research data responsibly, and to plan for the long-term preservation and sharing of data supporting research outputs. Find here an overview of the main funders’ policies and the University’s Research Data Management Policy.
The University is committed to publishing the results of its research in the highest quality publications, and strongly believes that these research outputs should be made as widely available as possible to academics, industry, the general public and other interested communities.
The University of Reading Code of Good Practice in Research (the Code) is based upon the UK Research Integrity Office’s Code of Practice for Research (UKRIO Code). Everyone at the University has a responsibility to ensure that research is undertaken in conformity with the law, in line with funders’ contractual terms and conditions and in accordance with best current practice.
