Decide on one version of your name, including initials, to use for scholarly activities and stick to it.

Make the most of the University's Open Access deals with publishers. Publishing Open Access increases the visibility of your outputs. Check using SciFree.

Register for and populate an ORCID iD and make your profile publicly available. Go to ORCID.org.

Link your ORCID iD to CentAUR, Scopus, journal manuscript submission systems, Crossref and other services.

Check your author profile in Scopus. Are your publications correct? Go to Scopus.com

Check your outputs in Web of Science and claim your ResearcherID. Go to Webofscience.com

Create a Google Scholar page and make it public. 

Upload research publications to CentAUR as soon as they are accepted.

Contact your School or Department admin to request a University Staff Profile page and make sure your publications are linked to it. 

Add links to your ORCID iD and the DOI of your latest output to your email signature.
