Online reading lists: a guide for students

A guide to using your online reading list.

'Expected by'

If the availabiity column says a copy is 'expected', this is the date we expect it to be returned to the Library, if it is not renewed.

If all the copies are out, you can place a hold by clicking on Expected By, which will take you to the Enterprise catalogue. You can then place a hold in the normal way.

Check for full text

When you click on the title of a journal article, you may see a link that says 'Check for full text'. You can click this to search the Library's online collections for this article. The article is usually also available via the 'View Online' and 'Available Online' links - so you can choose either of these options to read the article online via Library subscriptions.

View Availability

If the book is only available in print, you will see a 'View Availability' button to the right of the title. Click this button to view live Library availability.
