Information for teaching staff: Developing your teaching practice

Guidance on getting Library resources to support your teaching, ways in which we can help develop your students' academic practices, and Library resources for supporting your teaching practice

Staff professional development

To support your professional development, including while undertaking FLAIR either by the taught route or CPD, the University Library has a large collection of books, e-books and journal articles on teaching and learning for your research and wider reading. This includes most items on the FLAIR reading lists.

Finding books and e-books

Search the Enterprise catalogue to find books and e-books to support your professional development.

Finding online articles and book chapters

The Summon discovery service offers a single search option to look for topics in all the e-journals and e-books in our collection. Everything you find on Summon should be available to read.

We also have access to two specialist education-related databases. They have links to the full-text where available, but also allow you to extend your search beyond our collections, and to perform more refined searches.
