Why use PhD theses in your research?

This video from the British Library outlines how PhD theses obtained via its EThOS service can be used in your research.

Citing a thesis

Elements to include:
  1. Name of author
  2. Year of submission (in round brackets)
  3. Title of thesis (in Italics)
  4. Degree statement (eg PhD thesis, MSc thesis, MA thesis)
  5. Name of the University or degree awarding body
  6. If accessed online: DOI or Available at: URL (Accessed: date)
