Digital Study Skills

Tips and advice for students for successful studying both online and face to face

Introduction

With a mixture of on campus seminars and online learning this brings challenges and opportunities to our day. This includes finding a place that we can work without being disturbed and negotiating how we plan our day with others around us.

The following guide covers some tips on many of the challenges that may arise when studying, including: how to study effectively at home; getting organised; and also our tips on taking notes from online content, to help you prepare for the year ahead.

If you looking for some guidance on anything we haven’t covered, do email us (studyadvice@reading.ac.uk) with your suggestions and we will look to include new content. To find out who else in the University can help you to develop your digital skills see Digital capabilities resources (reading.ac.uk)
