Policies for CentAUR

There are a number of policies which cover the management and usage of CentAUR, including the scope of the content, the responsibilities of research staff and students to add content, how end users are able to use it, as well as preservation and takedown. The two key University policies affecting CentAUR are the University's Open Access Policy and the CentAUR Deposit Policy.

Policy on depositing research outputs in the institutional repository, CentAUR The purpose of the repository is to increase the visibility, accessibility and usage of the University’s published, peer reviewed (and equivalent quality), research outputs, free of charge, via the internet.
University of Reading Open Access Policy The University is committed to publishing the results of its research in the highest quality publications, and strongly believes that these research outputs should be made as widely available as possible to academics, industry, the general public and other interested communities.
Deposit Licence for the University of Reading's institutional repository, CentAUR An agreement between the University and the author/creator to make research outputs available in CentAUR. The licence appears at the last stage of the deposit process and it is at that point that the depositor is required to click agreement.
