Maps: Help

A guide to finding and using printed and digital maps.

If you need help, either with finding a specific map or atlas, or with maps of a particular geographical area or on a topic, please ask Judith Fox, the Map Librarian.  I can also help with finding maps and data online, and with accessing and using Digimap.

Coronavirus: During the Coronavirus outbreak I am still available to offer online support on finding information, referencing, using resources and a whole host of other things via email or a webinar. If you have a query please email me using the link above and I'll get right back to you.

Maps held by other libraries

If you can't find what you want in our collection, you could see if another library has something suitable.  If you find details of a map not held in our Library we may be able to get it for you from another library, or you could visit another library which has a copy.  For more information contact Judith Fox, the Map Librarian.

Citing maps

Maps should be referenced if you are including them in your work.  For help and examples of how to do this, see the 'More citation examples' tab in our Citing references guide.
